The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

I got a great start on my education at Shenango Campus (1966-68) and started working for Penn State (as a camera operator at WPSX-TV) while still a student. I spent most of my career there (along with 7 years at the University of Maryland University College), ending my Penn State career as Associate Vice President for Outreach. I retired from Penn State as Executive Director Emeritus of the World Campus in 2007 and have since been recognized for my work in distance education by receiving the 2008 Distinguished Service Award from the National University Telecommunications Network and the 2009 Prize for Lifetime Contributions by the International Council for Open and Distance Education. In 2004, I was inducted into the International Adult and Continuing Education Hall of Fame.
